Jackie Cocuzza-Walker: Kindergarten

Jackie is returning to Satori for her eleventh year. She has a Bachelor's degree in Family Studies and is currently completing her teacher certification. Jackie has worked at Satori as an aide in Kindergarten, as a co-teacher in the Prekindergarten, as the Elementary school Physical Education teacher, as teacher in a multi-age class of 3's/4's, and as teacher of the full-day Prekindergarten class for three years. Jackie taught the Kindergarten class last year and is remaining in that capacity again this year..

Julie Deal: Kindergarten/1st Grade

Julie is returning to Satori as a Kindergarten/1st grade teacher. She joined the staff in August of 2007 as a teacher's aide in the 2nd/3rd grade class and began teaching the Kindergarten/1st class in January 2008. Julie graduated from NAU in 1995 with her Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and spent several years as a substitute teacher and volunteer in her own children's classrooms before she joined the teaching staff at Satori.

Joanna Honea: Kindergarten/1st Grade

Jo is returning to Satori for her twelfth year. She worked as an aide in the four-year-old class, as a co-teacher in that class the following year, co-taught the Prekindergarten/Kindergarten class, and taught that class for two years, and has taught a Kindergarten/1st class the last three years. Jo has a degree in Rehabilitation; she is highly trained to look at the individual child. Joanna focuses on the whole child, directing attention to emotional and intellectual needs. Her classroom units are exciting and rich with culture. Jo is also the Assistant Director for our private preschool/primary school.

Brenda Pesqueira-Werner: 3's Class

Brenda has worked in various positions at Satori beginning with Extended Care, in the elementary school and preschool as a teacher's aide, and as a 3's teacher for the past nine years. Brenda is warm and nurturing and becomes a second mother to the children in her class. She creates a strong community within her group of 3's. Her two daughters attend Satori.

Jenna Reich: 3's/4's Class

Jenna came to Satori to work in the Extended Care after-school program in both the private and Charter schools. She was also an aide in the 2nd/3rd grade class and taught the 4's/5's class last summer. Jenna holds a teaching certificate in Elementary Education. Before she joined Satori, she was a nanny in Germany and here in Arizona. She will continue teaching the 3's/4's class for the third year. Jenna's son will be a Satori student in the 2010/2011 school year.

Clio Robbins: Half-Day PreKindergarten

Clio joined the Satori staff in 2001 as a teacher's aide with a 4's class and as the Elementary school French teacher. She co-taught the 3's/4's class for two years and worked as lead teacher in the 3's/4's class. Clio is returning to teach the half-day PreK class again this year. Clio has varied cultural experiences: being born in France, growing up and studying in Turkey and then Scotland; where she attended college. After moving to the USA, she completed Bachelor's and Master's Degrees at the University of Arizona.

Norah Staples: 2 1/2's/3's Class

Norah first joined the Satori staff in the 2000/2001 school year as a teacher's aide in the PreKindergarten class. She went on to co-teach the 3's class for a year and worked as Extended Care lead in 2002/2003. Norah left Satori, completed her studies in interior design, became a mom and returned two years ago to teach the youngest Satori class. She is continuing this year as the lead teacher for the 2 1/2's/3's class.
